Pressing Forward....

All I can say is, HALLELUJAH FOR NEXT WEEK! I cannot wait for the HOLLYWOOD WEED TO BEGIN. I just don't feel like anyone stood out last night. That might not be too fair seeing as how I was really concerned about the elections. I did find time to still record and watch IDOL....

Someone tell me if we have another "precocious" Singer?

This gal just made me laugh. I tend to agree more and more with Simon. I believe he is getting softer and they are letting some interesting people I would have never let through.

I didn't even think this guy was remotely good...Not even his eyes--his singing! Anyone else think differently?

They must have "the right look". I actually like that the judges aka Simon are a little softer. I'm all for letting someone with possible potential try again in Hollywood. If they don't really have it, they'll just go home then. What did you think of the kid from Tennessee who lives in his car and sang with a British accent?????

I really am not sure what to think about the kid from Tenessee and the car thing. I was torn between feeling sorry for him and also feeling like an act. As you and I both know, there can be some pretty "amazing" singers who go and audition, but never even make it to SImon, Randy, and Paula--because they didn't have a sob story, or an act.

I really just like seeing people based on talent. Not because they want a better life for their kid(s) (and I guess leaving them for months on end to go to IDOL is a better life...interesting.)...or because they had their dog die. I want to like them because they are good singers and genuinly likable.

THat's what I liked so much about Melinda lastyear--she was amazing and she just was so sweet/ She didn't really have a sob story.

So back to your question about Mr Tennessee--hmm...I guess I was hoping he would go home to his family (which he said he had) and let them love him and have a home for a while. He was sweet though

loved tonight actually. i think my fav night. I'll post more later because I am too tired to remember it.

Actually liked Miss Dolly Parton. Love the Nurse motorcycle babe from yesterday (just something about her)
... and the last guy tonight...SO weird but when he would stop talking and just sang, I really enjoyed it. Seems there are a lot of people that I only like when they are singing. No stand outs, but people I am really looking forward to hearing from.

TO be continued

Know what else I thought was funny? The girl who they thought sounded like Dolly Parton, when Simon said no, but Randy and Paula told her to go learn a Dolly Parton song and she did and came back and sang it great...I loved that Simon was suprised and had to admit to them that they were right! He was so bugged that she came back and did so much better with a different genra of music.

The funny thing is that Ms Dolly Parton is one of a kind...I don't see someone like that being THE American Idol. Do you?
