Two friends and stereotypes

TWO BEST FRIENDS

I actually really liked this girls...not necessarily their voices, but I thought they had really cute personalities...The girl on the left was a better all around singer. I keep saying that Sara and Spence should go and audition together. People try whatever gimmick possible.

A FIRST IMPRESSION?
Now I want to know if you think that these auditions change the way we view the rest of the show. In other words...do we stick with the people we like at the beginning? And, do you think the PRODUCERS push some people on you...

Meaning, if someone makes it through to HOllywood and you saw their whole story, where they grew up---and at HOllywood the camera followed them around alot...don't you think you are being conditioned.

Now, I love Carrie Underwood---and the producers did as well . Which is why from the audtion time they were pushing her story and following her around. When in a big group, she was always zoomed in on. Any tears ever were shown by her. She deserves the title and the light--she is amazing.

Are we picking what we really want to pick, or are we truly being biased unwillingly (meaning if that is all we see, we can't do anything about it) from the beginning?

JUST KEEP SINGING!

What does precocious mean?

Again, I do not like the audition part of idol--I only watch it to see if there are any good singers I might like later cause of their first audition. However, when people are so silly that you can't help yourself.

Why, tell me WHY when Randy or Simon says stop singing people continue...Good singers even do it. I know that it is your shot so you want them to see and give it your all...but these are the people who will let you through. You should do what they say right?

Silliness

Listen to that ear piece?

I don't really want to make fun, but I can't help it. I think it is HILARIOUS when people put their hands in their ears like they are really singing live in a band trying to hear the music! They obviously don't know what they are doing and are just doing it cause they have seen it done! The thing that makes it the most funny is that ALOT of people do it.

Omaha Auditions

A RANT ON OMAHA

Where to start, again I rant that this part of the series is not my favorite part...having said that, I want to say just a little bit about the auditions last night.

To be honest, I was not that impressed. Even the good ones ( I may get jabbed for this) weren't amazing.

My favorite of the night was the girl that Ryan helped judge. I thought she was overlooked because they were emphasizing Ryan. Her voice sounded just like the song to me. She seemed a little frazzled by the change in judges. I was looking for a pic of her but they haven't posted last night yet.

My only other standout would be the guy that talked about Daughtry---I thought he sounded decent enough..
I Actually liked that Ryan helped judge--I would have liked to see him really do it...

RED CARPET
This guy was so excited about the red carpet...the funny thing is that it probably will really happen...Idol tends to do funny stuff--we all won't be surprised.

That is all I have for now...anyone want to add? I welcome what people have to say...i want to hear what people are thinking...as long as the comments aren't offensive and the language is good

IDOL Begins!

You've got to Love that SIMON!

So I have my own family blog...but since I am utterly obsessed with American Idol, I did not want to crowd my "baby" space with idol. I thought I would just start my own idol blog and rant and let whomever is interested in ranting with me come and join as well.

I watch and record every episode of IDOL, but I really don't get into it until the GOOD singers start. In other words, I like to see the talent not the lack thereof. So, I will save my big postings until good stuff happens (I believe that starts when it is the top 30 and you actually get to vote).
Having said that....I do believe Simon is a little softer this year. I don't know if the producers of the show told him to give a compliment after you shatter someone, but he seems to be nice.

Paula, her new phrase "No--to THIS competition." What other competition would you say "yes" to? I love her, but one day she will actually come out and talk!

RANDY---you got the style as always. My favorite THUS far of the season is the backup "Waiting...Waiting on the world to sing." I have never laughed so hard! Keep it up DAWG!
